FanZappy, a data-driven marketing company, is seeking experienced WordPress website developers to join our team. You should apply if you are qualified and would like to work with other marketing professionals in a dynamic team. Start with hourly or project-based engagements and can turn into part-time or full-time positions based on performance. This is a remote position, for US and Canada residents only.  Demonstrated work authorization is required.

Summary

You build and deliver client websites on the WordPress platform. It is required that you have recent and proven track records in building WordPress websites for businesses and connect it to other parts of client marketing system. We are looking for jack-of-all-trades type of developers to join us. You can start from a WordPress theme with demo content and turn it into a professional website.

Responsibilities

• DESIGN: create mock-up or provide input on the site design.
• DEVELOPMENT: use prevalent tools to build the website.
• CONTENT: populating engaging content and optimize for SEO and readability.
• INTEGRATION: connect the site with prevalent email/marketing and analytics apps.
• PERFORMANCE: tune up the website for speed and device responsiveness; set up goal tracking.
• DEPLOYMENT: launch the site to the client domain: DNS/name server settings, SSL installation.
• ONGOING: backup/restore, performance tracking, goal tracking, site optimization.

Required Experience

• You are an expert in building business WordPress websites, from start to finish.
• You have deep and practical knowledge in HTML and CSS.
• You have done theme customization in PHP and JS in the past.
• You are well versed in using these prevalent tools in WordPress site-building: theme settings/customization, Visual Composer or WP Bakery, Rev Slider, Yoast, popular performance plugins, email, GA and GSA integrations.
• You have high standards in WordPress website UI design and UX optimization.
• You know how to select creative for the content from popular stock libraries, and know how to use Photoshop or similar tools to process your creative.
• You are an expert in performance tuning and optimization.
• You have done website deployment and covered domain/DNS settings, SSL installations, etc.
• You have been doing site monitoring and ongoing management
• You have demonstrated project commitment and time management skill set.
• You are a team player and work effectively in a project team
• You are an effective communicator and are fluent in English

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and skill levels. This job starts as an hourly project-based contract position, with the option to convert to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
